Chillswitch for rallies and events

For rallies, marches, mutual aid, and volunteer events, a group lets organizers put one QR code on a flyer, let people join with a scan, and run a live roll call. Answers are voluntary, and a roll call is not proof of where anyone was.

Set it up

  1. Choose a plan that can run a group. Nonprofits and community groups can request a free organization code.
  2. Start a group for the event.
  3. Create a shared QR code with a use count near your expected turnout. Print it or show it on a slide.
  4. On the day, run a roll call when you need a head count.
  5. Create a fresh QR code for each event. Codes last 72 hours.

What members get

Joining does not share anyone's location. Members answer roll calls without handing the organizer a map of where they are.

Honest limits

  • A shared QR code is as private as where you post it. Anyone with it can join until the uses run out.
  • Chillswitch is not an emergency service, and no one is watching.
  • Chillswitch holds limited operational records and may be required to respond to valid legal process. Read the Privacy Policy and Security pages before relying on the app.
  • Follow the law and local rules where you are. Nothing here is legal advice.
