Looking out for someone is never behind a paywall. You can be a safety contact for anyone, on any plan.
Offer to look out for someone
- Open Your circle and choose Offer to look out for someone, or pick a person already on your lists and tap Look out for them too.
- Send the offer. They decide whether to accept and can end it whenever they like.
- If they accept, you are told when they go quiet, and nothing else about them.
You hear nothing until they say yes.
Answer a request
Requests wait under Waiting on you until you answer. Nothing happens either way until you do. You can accept, say "No thanks" (they are not told), or decide later.
Ask how someone is
You can ask a person how they are. It is a question, not an alarm. They answer, and you see "They're all right."

Paying is separate from looking out
Paying for a plan never lets you see another person's check-ins, contacts, or name. Looking out for someone shows you only that they have gone quiet.
