What the free plan includes

The free plan is a complete safety product, not a demonstration of one.

• A repeating check-in timer (intervals from 2 hours to 1 day, or a set schedule).
• Alerts to every safety contact who has the app, with no cap.
• Your own alert order and timing.
• Every privacy control, including the secret distress code.
• The distress button.
• Quiet hours (one set) and pauses up to 12 hours.
• Asking how someone is, being a safety contact, joining groups, and answering roll calls.
• Texting up to 2 contacts who do not have the app, where texting is available.
• One try of a "Going out?" check-in.

What lifts the limits

Starting groups, per-person notes, longer pauses, custom intervals, route features, and vault messages are part of paid plans. When you reach a limit, the app names what a larger plan would lift.

If you stop paying

Paid features end when the plan does, but nothing already watching over you is switched off. Your schedule keeps running and your contacts stay in place. What a lapse costs is the ability to change a setup that is larger than the free plan allows; bring it back within the free limits to edit it.
