Roles in a group
Roles decide who can run a group, never who can see someone's week. Nobody in a group can see another person's personal check-in history, schedule, or location.
Role | Can do | Cannot do |
|---|---|---|
Owner | Everything below, plus rename the group and name leads | See members' personal check-ins or settings |
Lead | Rename the group, invite and remove people, start a roll call, coordinate response | See or change anything about anybody's account |
Safety contact | Told if the group owner misses a check-in; can start a roll call and add or remove people | See where anyone is |
Member | Answer roll calls | Be told about anyone's missed check-in |
Response team
Group owners can name a response team: the safety contacts who coordinate the response in large groups. Add or remove people from Response team in the group's settings.
Leads
An owner can make a lead from the member list. A lead can stop helping run the group at any time and remains a member. Only the owner can name them again.
Offboard in one action
Removing someone takes them out of every group you run and withdraws invitations they never accepted. Their own account and their own safety contacts are untouched.
No hidden access
Chillswitch has group owners, not an organization-wide administrator who can inspect personal schedules. An organization sees counts of who answered, never one person's week.
