Primary contacts

A primary contact coordinates the response. If you miss a check-in, your other safety contacts are told to start with them, and their number goes out with the alert.

Ask someone to be primary

1. Open Your circle, choose the contact, and tap Make them a primary contact.
2. Confirm. It is their choice; the app explains that their number will go to people they may not know.
3. They accept ("I'll coordinate") or decline.

The row shows "Asked to be a primary contact" until they answer, then "Primary contact."

Remove

Tap Remove as a primary contact at any time. A primary contact can also stop at any time.

What contacts see

The alert lists who to try first and, if they do not answer, who to try next.

Limits

The number of primary contacts depends on your plan: 1 on free, 2 on Individual, 3 on Household and Team, and 5 on Organization.
