Change your name or username

The name your contacts see

Open Settings > What your contacts call you. The name is optional. If you leave it blank, your contacts see your username, in the app and in the alert text. You can change or clear it any time.

Your username

• You can change your username for about a month after opening the account (Settings > What your contacts call you).
• Changing it replaces your recovery code, because the code is tied to the username. The old code stops working, so write the new one down. Your friends do not need to do anything.
• After the month, the username is fixed.
• Use lowercase letters and numbers, with dots or underscores in between.

Password

Change your password or update sign-in details under Settings > Username and password. Use something uncommon and do not include your username.

• There is no recovery email. Write the password down.
